Sometimes you have to get some work done when you’re away apart from just administrative things. If you bill clients hourly for work, this app will allow you to track and record your time for invoicing. TimeClock also allows you to send invoices straight from the app.

4. CamCard – Business Card Reader
This app reads business cards and saves the information to the contacts in your phone. It syncs the contacts to all your devices. CamCard gives you the ability to stay organized, find important contacts and do your part for the environment.

5. Receipt Catcher
You need to keep track of your expenses, whether you are working at home or are on the road. Receipt Catcher allows you to log in your expenses by category and you are able to take a picture of your receipts, save it and use it later for taxes or expenses.
This affordable app also lets you email yourself your expenses in an excel file for your records. It’s also environmentally friendly.

Downtime and vacations are important for your sanity and your overall productivity, but keeping up with clients and getting paid on time is crucial when you work for yourself. Each of these apps serves a similar but separate purpose.
